Mark Bohle × wetheknot
As we shared in the previous journal entry, we’re launching an exclusive series of t-shirts, the result of collaborations with talented artists and graphic designers whose work we deeply admire. The second creative to join this project is the German artist and designer Mark Bohle.

Based in Barcelona, Mark Bohle co-runs the design studio N&MS alongside designer Nam Huynh, and also teaches typography in the Visual Design Master’s programme at Elisava University Barcelona.

What draws us to Mark’s work is its playful, minimalist, and experimental character. His free use of mixed techniques and media results in joyful, sometimes quirky, and original designs. That same energy came through clearly during the creative process — Mark was open, generous, and always up for sharing his ideas, sketches, and thoughts, which made the collaboration all the more exciting for us.

That upfront spirit is visible right on the front of the t-shirt, where a fun, handwritten mix of our names announces the collaboration. For the back print, Mark took a simple, everyday item — bread — and transformed it into a cheerful, unexpected graphic. Something essential, made light-hearted.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project has been seeing how different creative styles can still resonate beautifully with our pieces. Though each artist brings their own tone and vision, our partnerships with both Stephanie Specht and Mark Bohle have reinforced how proud we are to work with people we admire — and how special it is to see their work printed on our 100% organic cotton t-shirts.

As with the Specht Studio collaboration, this Mark Bohle graphic t-shirt is an exclusive edition, limited to 50 pieces only. Available online at wetheknot.com or in our Lisbon shop, in Rua São João da Praça, 41, Alfama.
